I'm Austin.

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor by training, and now I run Ausra as a coaching practice. These roles are different, and that difference is important to me.

Because of my clinical background, I understand how people change in a deeper way than just setting goals. For years, I’ve worked with people facing burnout, identity struggles, and the exhaustion that comes from always trying to be needed by everyone. I know this pattern because I’ve experienced it myself.

I chose coaching because I wanted to connect with people differently. Coaching lets me work with those who aren’t seeking a diagnosis or treatment plan. Instead, they want someone to sit with them during a transition, notice what’s really going on beneath their story, and help them decide what comes next.

I’m trained in methods that focus on what’s happening in your body and nervous system, not just your thoughts. I bring this depth to our conversations, but I make sure it never feels clinical.

I’m warm, and I also won't just agree with you to make you comfortable. I’ll point things out in a way that helps you see new possibilities.

I’m still working on myself too. I believe that’s what helps me do this work well.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No. Coaching is a forward-looking partnership focused on goals, patterns, and action. I don't diagnose, assess, or treat mental health conditions. If it becomes clear that therapy would serve you better, I'll share that observation directly and help you find the right support.

  • People navigating transitions, burnout, identity questions, or patterns they can see but can't seem to change on their own. You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from coaching. You just need to be ready for something different.

  • Sessions are 50 minutes over secure video. We'll talk about what's actually going on, notice the patterns underneath, and figure out what to do with it.

  • Yes. Everything we discuss is treated as confidential. There are a few legal exceptions I'm transparent about upfront, which we'll cover in the coaching agreement before we start working together.

  • We'll discuss rates once you reach out. Payment is processed securely through Stripe at the conclusion of each session.

  • That's completely okay. I'll help you find the right therapist or provider. Coaching and therapy serve different purposes, and getting the right support matters more than keeping you as a client.
