I'm Austin.

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor by training, and I run Ausra as a coaching practice. Those are different things, and the difference matters to me.

My clinical background means I understand how people change at a level that goes beyond surface-level goal setting. I've spent years working with people navigating burnout, identity questions, and the kind of exhaustion that comes from building your whole life around being indispensable to everyone else. I know that pattern because I've lived it.

I chose coaching because I wanted to meet people in a different way. Coaching lets me work with people who aren't looking for a diagnosis or a treatment plan. They're looking for someone who can sit with them in the middle of a transition, notice what's actually happening underneath the story they tell themselves, and help them figure out what's next.

I'm trained in approaches that pay attention to what's happening in your body and your nervous system, not just your thoughts. I bring that depth to our conversations without making it feel clinical.

I'm warm, and I also won't just agree with you to make you comfortable. I'll name things in a way that actually opens something up.

I'm still doing my own work too. I think that's what makes me good at this.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No. Coaching is a forward-looking partnership focused on goals, patterns, and action. I don't diagnose, assess, or treat mental health conditions. If it becomes clear that therapy would serve you better, I'll share that observation directly and help you find the right support.

  • People navigating transitions, burnout, identity questions, or patterns they can see but can't seem to change on their own. You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from coaching. You just need to be ready for something different.

  • Sessions are 50 minutes over secure video. We'll talk about what's actually going on, notice the patterns underneath, and figure out what to do with it.

  • Yes. Everything we discuss is treated as confidential. There are a few legal exceptions I'm transparent about upfront, which we'll cover in the coaching agreement before we start working together.

  • We'll discuss rates once you reach out. Payment is processed securely through Stripe at the conclusion of each session.

  • That's completely okay. I'll help you find the right therapist or provider. Coaching and therapy serve different purposes, and getting the right support matters more than keeping you as a client.
